- Accordingtome: Scientists use induction A LOT. In fact, Godel proved mathematically that deduction is not sufficient. (Google "Godel's Incompleteness Theorem") For example, induction is often used to generate a hypothesis.

- Sadly, there aren't really any examples of atheistic societies (that I know of.) There may be a few tribes, but in terms of a civilisation... not yet. However, there is a VERY strong correlation between IQ and atheism, and between higher education and atheism.
